I bet you won’t want to be known as the room borrow borrow. You don’t want to be that person that borrows every single thing from other roommates.
Packing for school can be very stressful. It’s usually hard to remember everything you need especially when you have no for experience. In this article, I have put everything into categories so you can pack every single thing you need so you dont have to throw away your dignity by borrowing all the time.
Kitchen items
This section includes everything you need for cooking and eating. Not all Nigerian universities have kitchen spaces. You might be allocated only a little corner space for cooking.
- Gas cylinder/stove/hot plate
- Pots(about 3-4)
- Bowls( 3-4)
- Cooking spoon (preferably 3)
- Kitchen knife
- Cutlery
- Tray
- Cups and plates
- Storage bowls, jars or bucket for food stuff
- Measuring cups for rice or beans

Toiletries/ grooming:
You would most likely be sharing a toilet with a lot of people so you need to be extra careful. This category contains things you need in the bathroom and taking care of yourself.

It is advisable to buy most of these things from home. Not because they are not sold in school but because school vendors have their way of cheating freshers.
